Live Cavefish Cam

As part of our NSF funded outreach efforts we are developing curriculum that uses cavefish morphology and behavior to teach fundamental concepts in genetics, evolution and neuroscience.  By clicking the link below, you can view a population of Mexican cavefish and their surface-dwelling counterparts in real time.  The fish are filmed under infrared light so their activity can be observed in the day and night. The lights come on at 8AM EST and turn off at 12AM EST.  See if you can observe differences in behavior between the groups of fish!
